Laetus' ARGUS wt is a modular control system for reliable code and print verification on packaging lines. It centralizes data and equipment management through an intuitive, touchscreen-compatible browser and integrates the ECS wt150, which automatically rejects non-compliant products. • Barcode identification/2D coding
1D and 2D codes enable unique identification of products in various industries. After scanning, the system compares each code with the reference and flags errors such as unreadable code (“No Read”) or incorrect content (“Mismatch”), and can also evaluate position and rotation.
Pharmacode reading
To identify the Pharmacode (pharmaceutical code), a reference code is used to ensure correct reading. Print quality control is an essential component of product packaging quality assurance, regardless of whether it involves graphic elements or printed codes. Based on internationally recognized standards, such as ISO/IEC 15415 for 2D codes or ISO/IEC 15416 for 1D codes, criteria such as sharpness, contrast, legibility, and print consistency are evaluated to ensure that codes can be read reliably and securely.
Control of unformatted text printing
The information printed on packaging, such as text, logos, and symbols, is verified by OCR and OCV systems, which ensure the presence, legibility, and correctness of characters. In inkjet or laser printing, including on rotating or inverted surfaces, reading is ensured by rotation identification. OCR decodes and compares characters with learned models, while OCV confirms their presence and reference. These controls are applied to bottles, plastic containers, tubes, and labels, ensuring consistency and print quality on all packaging.
